Virtual Instrument : XILS-lab launches ‘Limited Edition’ soft synth XILS 3 LE - pcmusicXILS-lab has released a cost-conscious (€30) so- called 'Limited Edition' (full-featured, 'frozen' version) of its XILS 3 soft synth plug-in.

The XILS 3 LE is a limited edition of the XILS 3 synthesizer, it features the complete first version of this software but don't bring the new features added with the 1.1.0 version (two new envelopes, LFO, S&H, sequencer editing, new matrix connections, ...)

The XILS 3 LE is an exciting new matrix style virtual modular synthesizer. Based on the architecture of the legendary EMS VCS3 synth, the XILS 3 is capable of creating both 'classic' sounds and totally new ones.

The XILS 3's matrix design is capable of more than 450 connection permutations, offering more routing possibilities than any other commercially available virtual synthesizer.

In addition, a built-in sequencer, based on the EMS 256 sequencer, can be used to create original and complex sequences.

The XILS 3 LE comes with hundreds of presets that provide instant access to a broad range of sounds and styles ranging from modern electronica to classic 1970s retro and experimental. You can also program it yourself to create your own unique sounds.

Protected by a serial number — no USB dongle required, XILS 3 LE is Mac (OS X 10.3.9 and later; Audio Unit, VST, RTAS — Pro Tools 7.0 and later) and PC (Windows 7, Vista, and XP; VST, RTAS — Pro Tools 7.0 and later) compatible and costs €30.

A special upgrade is available to those wanting all the latest and future features of the XILS 3 for €109. Note: this requires a USB dongle — iLok or eLicenser — to run.
