The Avantone BV-1 Microphone is the first in a new series of high-end microphones to be released by Avant Electronics.
"The BV-1 features premium grade capacitors, a hand selected 6072A tube, plus our own custom-designed 3 micron thick 34mm dual capsule, as well as a custom CINEMAG transformer," stated Glen Heffner, V.P. Global Sales and Market Development. "Final assembly and testing are performed here in Sunny Southern California. We also incorporated "Real World" producers/recording studios to confirm the smooth, airy, top end and the powerful, rich bass response. This was a major part of our litmus test to verify the reliability and integrity of the BV-1. It consistently passed with flying colors."
"The microphone was put into the hands of producers such as Grammy-winner Ray Kennedy, who utilized the BV-1 at length during a major recording project. He used the microphone for vocals, acoustic guitar, bass, piano, banjo, mandolin, background vocals, and more." The BV-1 was also sent to other producers/engineers for evaluation prior to release. "The microphone sounded so good that we decided to bottle it!"
The glossy "ButterCream" series microphone color is inherited directly from our world-renowned MixCubes. Polished nickel trim, vintage style power supply with 9 selectable patterns, padded/plush wooden mic box, custom nickel-plated detachable pop filter, 15' world-class Gotham GAC-7 Custom Mic Cable with premium nickel Switchcraft XLR connectors and a tweed & alligator trim retro-styled carrying case round out the package.
The BV-1 is perfect as a vocal mic, instrument mic, acoustic mic, piano mic or about any application that you can dream of.
The BV-1 is available now and is priced at $999.
