Plug-ins : VSL releases boxed version of 64-bit plug-in suite - pcmusicVienna Symphonic Library's suite of nine audio processing tools, Vienna Suite, has just been released as a boxed edition.

Up to now, it has been available as a download product only. Both the download product and the physical product contain exactly the same software, now at version 1.1, that includes Vienna's brand-new Convolution Reverb. Vienna Suite is the only boxed plug-in suite with full 64-bit capability. It retails at €445/$665 and is now available from the company's worldwide network of distributors and dealers.

Industry : API Sued by JVC over Arsenal Audio product name - pcmusicAutomated Processes, Inc. (API) has received a formal complaint from electronics giant JVC Americas Corporation against API's use of the word "arsenal" in reference to API's recently introduced brand of pro audio equipment. Arsenal Audio by API products include a microphone preamp and two versions of a four band audio equalizer manufactured for use by professional recording artists and engineers.

JVC Americas Corp. is the registered owner of the word 'arsenal' in association with products for car audio equipment.

The complaint centers around the claim that API willfully infringed upon JVC's trademark with the "clear unmistakable intent and effect of causing confusion, mistake and deception among customers".
