You can can use synthesis to build your own unique sounding drum-kit, but also your own samples can be loaded into Punch to complete your kit. Your sounds can then be crafted using the stunning features, filters and huge synth power we all know from other RP synthesizers.

Punch has a unique sound but also a built in sequencer, allowing you the user to have multiple patterns at your finger tips. These grooves can be triggered in a live environment to build a song, but are also great for just improvisation and jamming!

Developed in association with producer/engineer Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin), the MPX Master Tape plugin is modeled on a rare machine consisting of an Ampex 350 transport and 351 electronics. With adjustable tape speed, bias, flux, wow & flutter, and noise parameters, the MPX provides comprehensive control over the contours of your sound. And to top it off, we've added a flexible slap & feedback delay, ideal for rock, dance, dub, you name it.

Native Instruments has just introduced SESSION STRINGS PRO, a significantly extended version of the acclaimed SESSION STRINGS instrument. Based on Native Instruments' latest sampling technology and usable in KONTAKT or the free KONTAKT PLAYER, SESSION STRINGS PRO recreates a contemporary string section with maximum fidelity and versatility, and lends itself to sophisticated pop and dance productions across a wide variety of styles.

Produced by sampling expert Thomas Koritke of e-instruments and based on nearly 50 GB of samples, SESSION STRINGS PRO vastly expands on the original SESSION STRINGS library in every aspect of quality, flexibility and workflow.

It is based on four separately captured 11-piece ensembles, representing contemporary and traditional instrument placements, and recorded in two different microphone positions each. The addition of true release samples and twice the amount of "round-robin" variation samples further enhance the sonic authenticity of the instrument, while the new bow noise parameter provides additional control over the sound.

Mackie today announces two additions to its popular ProFX Compact Effects Mixer series — the ProFX16 and ProFX22. With increased channel count and useful tools like dedicated inline compression, both new models are perfect for mid-sized venues and bands looking for a do-it-all live sound solution.

On the front end, Mackie low-noise, high-headroom preamps work with LED metering and 60mm faders on each channel to keep levels in check. Every channel also features 3-band EQ. All ProFX mixers offer an integrated 32-bit RMFX effects processor with 16 "Gig-Ready" FX and a 7-band graphic EQ for simple tuning of mains or monitors. The built-in USB interface allows the user to record the show and stream back music for breaks or integration into the mix.
