RME presents a new Remote Control for Fireface UFX and ADI-8 QS.

The optional remote has a solid metal case with one big wheel dial and two push buttons. The functions of the ADI-8 QS stay unchanged (volume, store, recall). On the Fireface UFX the remote controls the most important monitoring functions:

- Volume control of the main output and both headphone outputs (switchable)
- DIM (user adjustable value)
- Recall and store of a reference level for the main outputs (user adjustable value)
- Left button (Prog) is programmable and can control functions like Talkback, Speaker B, mono etc.

The Remote Control connects to the Fireface UFX and the ADI-8 QS via a 5 m (16 ft.) cable and a special connector on the back of both units. It replaces the old RME Remote Control for the ADI-8 QS. Availability is expected June 2011.

Moog Music designers carrying on the legacy of visionary founder, Robert Moog have announced the first major technical Theremin design advance in over 40 years. The PolyTheremin incorporates bleeding edge IsoDirectional Inductive Oscillator Technology, to isolate space around five individual pitch antennas thus enabling each to be played simultaneously (finger-by-finger) without interference from it's companion antennas. This revolutionary concept breaks the long held belief that the Theremin could only be monophonic instrument.

The PolyTheremin ships with Dorit Chrysler's instructional video "Playing the PolyTheremin is Even Easier Than Playing a Monophonic Theremin."

Driver technology

Like all models of the AX series, the A77X features the ADAM proprietary X-ART tweeter. The 'X' stands for 'eXtended frequency response' and thus for one of the features of the Accelerating Ribbon Technology that has been drastically improved: the frequency response. It now extends all the way up to 50kHz. In addition, the X-ART tweeter has higher efficiency and higher maximum sound pressure levels.

The two 7" woofers are identical with that of the A7X. With their large voice coils (1.5") and powerful amplifiers they are capable of both very high maximum sound pressure levels as well as very deep registers. The woofers do not cover the same frequency bands: while one of them is responsible for the (sub-) bass frequencies up to about 400Hz, the other takes over most of the midrange.
