Virtual Instrument : Wavefront Volume One - pcmusicFrom the WaveFront ReFill, comes WaveFront Volume One for Kontakt 3 or greater. The original data archive was remastered, and the resulting Volume One includes much of the original WaveFront, but includes new bonus material as well. The first half of Oxide Kits is also included as bonus kits, just like in the original release.

While WaveFront Volume One is based on the original master data, it is not a clone of the first release, it is a reworking of the core data, yet still offering a similar feel and programming style in the Kontakt format. Avalaible until First of January 2011

The update includes a new look and feel, 64-bit VST format support on the Mac and several user interface enhancements borrowed from Blue Cat Audio's commercial plug-ins.

What's new in Blue Cat's FreqAnalyst 1.7:
- 64-bit Mac VST support.
- User interface enhancements:
- Improved readability.
- Select and zoom with one click.
- Drag the rulers to move the curve when zoomed
- Zooming is now animated.
- Improved consistency with our other analysis tools.
- Performance improvements (the plug-in now requires an SSE2-enabled
processor).
- Default release time is now shorter.
- Fixed issue with Freeze button not freezing all curves on the stereo version.

These free updates for owners of Reason 5 and Record 1.5 bring a number of bug fixes and improvements to the software. Recommended for all to install, the Reason 5.0.1 and Record 1.5.1 updates are available for free download from the Propellerhead web site

Plug-ins : Public beta of Elysia Alpha Compressor now available - pcmusicThe code behind the plugin is again Brainworx, who were also responsible for the Mpressor (and the SPL plugins too by the way).

Price will be $299, but an introductory offer is promised, around $199. The public beta will be available until December 1st. I'm looking forward to give this one a a go. Let us know what you think if you try it.
