After RX from iZotope, our reviewer sleepless has just published a new article upon the Wave Arts Master Restoration Suite which is a bundle of plug-ins dedicated to the audio restoration and cleaning.

De la Mancha has released machin, a random, probability-based, step-sequenced multi-fx device created in partnership with sink.

The step sequencer defines the probability that any single random effect will be triggered on that step while weighting defines the probability for each effect that it will be the one that is triggered.

Features :

- 6 effects (gate, crusher, filter, flanger, delay, reverb).
- 2-32 step probability sequencer over a cycle of 2-32 beats.
- Seeded randomisation with loop repeat over cycle of 2-100 beats.
- Swing control for step sequencer.
- Any effects can be turned off to save CPU.
- Each effect has an attack/decay on triggering and pulse length to determine duration effect is on.
- Master wet/dry mix control.
- All controls have MIDI learn.

CME has just released Windows Vista-compatible drivers for Matrix K and Xcorpio Audio Interface and UF 400e Expansion card. The new drivers support both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows Vista as well as Window XP and XP64, operating systems. for optimum performance in either mode. Users can install the appropriate version for their Windows OS configuration. Vista drivers can be downloaded here.

Blue Cat Audio has released an update of the Blue Cat's Parametr'EQ series, a set of three analog/digital EQ plugins for Windows. This new version brings several performance enhancements and fixes. The upgrade is free for V3.0 customers, and a special discount price is available for a limited time for new customers.

What's new :

- Faster skins loading.
- Miscellaneous user interface performance enhancements.
- Improved parameters display in host application and settings window.
- Fixed a crash on certain configurations while opening the global settings window.
- Settings window is now faster to open.
- The installer now registers the VST plugin to avoid registration issues in some host applications.

SAE London move from it's current location at Caledonian Road to a much more modern 7-storey campus – and in doing so SAE Institute will be expanding the campus to accommodate more students with even more resources. Planners at the SAE Institute are still finalising the details, but early indications suggest the Kingsland Road site will house 11 audio studios, a film mixing theatre (featuring the industry-standard Neve DFC PS/1), 4 video editing studios, 'green screen' capabilities and generally improved facilities throughout.
