NuSofting has announced the release of an AU version of Strings Dream Synthesizer.

Strings Dream Synthesizer is able to reproduce the infinite array of rich, analogue pads from the most famous strings machines in synthesizer history - emulating the classic Eminent Solina as well as its sister keyboards from Elka, Crumar and even their Japanese cousins.

Strings Dream Synthesizer is available for Mac (AU/VST) and PC (VST). The good news is that its price has been reduced permanently to $45 (formerly $89).

On top of the AU versions of their products, McDSP will present a new plug-in called the 6030 Ultimate Compressor at the upcoming Winter NAMM Show. Here's what they say about it :

"McDSP has turned up the notch of dynamic range processing once again. Building on the entire award winning McDSP compression algorithm code base, the 6030 Ultimate Compressor adds new sonic capabilities, stunning new user interfaces and a collection of new designs mixed with unique twists on vintage emulations. Togu Audio Line has released a beta version of TAL-DUB-III, a new delay plug-in.

TAL-DUB-III is not a tape delay emulation - it has its own sound. It has an alias-free saturation stage, a non-linear 6dB low-pass and a 3dB high-pass filter that are included in the feedback path of the device. An input drive knob allows to adjust the saturation level. Pop-up menus show the current values of volume, delay-time and feedback knobs. A tab button allows to adjust the delay time for live sessions.
