Primacoustic has announced Maxtrap, a corner bass trap which is combination broadband absorber and bass trap that employs three sound absorbing principles at once to control the acoustics in a room. These help eliminate secondary reflections and flutter echo, absorb standing waves, and control bass down to 75Hz.

Placed in a corner, the MaxTrap features an elegantly finished front panel that is housed in a high-density wood composite frame. The panel is made from 3" thick high-density fiberglass that is fully encapsulated in micromesh with resin hardened edges to absorb mid and high frequencies. To help tame standing waves and increase low-frequency absorption, a deep air cavity behind the face panel extends back 17" to the corner, creating the bass trap. AudioWarrior has just released Bass Rig For KONTAKT. This library for Kontakt contains high quality samples based on the legendary Fender Electric Jazz Bass( J-Bass), Schecter Scorpion [Low B] Electric Slap Bass, and an all wood large Acoustic Upright Bass with w-i-d-e organic resonance and the best sounds of classic analogue Bass Synths. Note that Bass Rig includes fret/finger noise and string buzz.

Wahnsyn has announced the release of Authentic-Strings v1.0, a VSTi that provides 8 different string instruments that can be played individually or as a complete orchestra. All instruments are sampled at multiple velocity-levels so the full dynamic amplitude of an orchestra can produced.

A violin, viola, cello and a double bass are integrated as solo instruments. In addition, 4 combinations are available: Combi, pizzicato, staccato and the ensemble modes. At the same time, all 4 solo instruments are spread sensibly across the complete claviature.

On top of that multi-functions can be added to the Mod-Wheel or the Foot-Controller, to create a live concert feeling.

Authentic-Strings v1.0 is available now as a VSTi for Windows at a retail price of €49.

Here are the few changes in 1.0.1 :

* Wave display fix for PPC.
* AU mono compatibility fix.
* LFO and Seq now retrigger on song start.

Elevayta has just released Klean Boy, a VST plug-in which aims to reduce broadband noise and hum from stereo digital recordings.

Designed to be easy and intuitive to use, Klean Boy provides a choice between manual sampling of the noise floor or fully automatic continuous and adaptive extraction of the noise floor. The automatic extraction mode provides the advantage that it can be used on material where no easy sampling of the noise is possible.

Klean Boy is available now in VST format for Windows and costs $29.95. Note that a demo version and audio examples are also available.

VKFX 2.0, a free update to registered users of VKFX, is available. This excellent plug, dedicated to keyboards (as Rhodes, Wurli, Clavinet aso) has been totally redesigned by Alfonso De Prisco and Thomas Serafini from Overloud who has used same GUI engine for their fantastic sounding reverb Breverb.

There are numerous changes and features in VKFX version 2.0.
First, all formats are now UB (for Mac Intel). And a standalone version is now available, perfect for live keyboard players.
