Music Software : Karma-Lab releases KARMA Oasys Software - pcmusicKarma-Lab has released KARMA Oasys Software, a dedicated PC/Mac program for the Korg OASYS.
The program runs on Mac OS X 10.3.9 or higher (compatible with 10.5 Leopard), and on Windows XP, with an update planned for Vista in early 2008.

KO allows you to go deeper into the world of the KARMA function, in ways that are not possible on the OASYS alone. Whether you're creating sounds from scratch or using the factory sounds, KO's visual controls and displays provide the ultimate insight and learning tool for anyone who wants to better understand the KARMA Function.

KO's main features include the ability to develop your own Generated Effects (GE's) for unlimited musical possibilities, or edit the factory GEs into new configurations. Import .MID files and grab phrases directly from the OASYS sequencer, and instantly turn them into GEs. Then, upload (via SysEx) your new GE's to the OASYS and take them on the road.

Plug-ins : Overtone 1.2.5 for Mac OSX and Xmas Sales. - pcmusicTill the end of 2007, Voxengo offers discounts on several products.

Another news is the pre-release version 1.2.5 of Overtone GEQ for Mac OS X - in both AudioUnit and VST plug-in formats. Final Overtone GEQ version 1.3 is planned for release just before the end of 2007.

The core development cycle is now over, and Voxengo will be working on new plug-in releases starting on January, 2008.
It will also includes support for RTAS on Win and Mac OS X and native Win64 VST.

Misc : Goldbaby releases the Tape909 library. - pcmusicThis is 1446 samples taken from a mint TR909 recorded into an Ampex 351 1/2" valve 2 track tape machine !
That's not all : the 909 was also put through other vintage gear. Plus it was recorded naked into a Metric Halo ULN-2. Solid 909 goodness!

Plug-ins : VertexDSP releases vxPlug V1.0. - pcmusicVxPlug has been developed to load VST plug-ins within a host application with the ability to control them from a single user interface, as well as define the point where audio processing takes place in a flexible manner. Host parameter automation is supported.

Actually, vxPlug consists of 2 plug-ins : vxPlugControl and vxPlugClient.

vxPlugControl loads VST plug-ins and controls their parameters. Host parameter automation is supported.
The point of processing audio in the host application is determined by vxPlugClient. Every instance of vxPlugClient is able to send and receive audio data to/from vxPlugControl. Within vxPlugControl, the audio data is routed to the plug-ins you have loaded before.
