Recording School Online has released the Mixing for 3-D Stereo Depth video guide.

This four part, full-length video guide by RSO demonstrates some producers tricks and a full array of free and pay audio plug-ins essential for creating 3-D space. Also demonstrated and explained are techniques designed to help your mixes "jump" out of the speakers and sound not only "wider" but also more dimensional.

Demonstrated are several styles of music as well as acoustic and electric instrumentation.

Togu Audio Line has just released TAL-Elek7ro, a new free virtual analog synth with some special features like oscillator hard-sync and frequency modulation. It features alias-free oscillators, newly developed fast envelopes and LFOs with a wide range from 0.1Hz up to 400 Hz. A free routable envelope with attack and decay is available too. This synth is useful for a wide range of sounds from percussion to deep bass sounds.

The sE4400a is the latest in a lineage of mics started 6 years ago by SE Electronics with the sE2200a. Based on the same capsule tuning, but with a dual capsule to give multi polar pattern function, this mic is described as a "rarity… a true all-rounder".


It has 4 polar patterns, Cardioid, Hypercardioid, Figure of 8 and Omni. 2 bass cuts at 60Hz and 120Hz; 2 pads at 10 and 20dB. The chassis is small… very small, but still manages to house a twin diaphragm 1" capsule and all the top grade electronics and switches. This flat, round edged chassis design allow the mic to be used flat onto a drumhead or guitar cab, or pushed through into the skin of a kick drum. It is also perfect for sung vocals and voice over work, because although it's the smallest mic of it's type, it still 'looks' big when used full face on.

AudioPort Universal is a software-based digital audio transport that uses a readily available Gigabit switch and standard Cat 5e or Cat 6 cabling to send up to 32 channels of digital audio from PCs to a Mac.

AudioPort is cross-platform and can send audio from one or more PC sample players to a PC or Macintosh based sequencer and eliminate having to integrate multiple audio cards, expensive audio converters, interfaces and cabling.

AudioPort is comprised a Host and a plug-in that can be install on one or more Windows-based computers, for use with VST based virtual instruments and effects plug-ins.
