Daking unveils a brand new mic/line/instrument preamplifier : the Mic Pre One. Sharing the gain structure and Class A, fully discrete transistor circuitry design of the Daking Mic Pre IV, the Mic Pre One additionally features a unique variable high-pass filter and ships in a freestanding 'DI-style' steel enclosure, ensuring both strength and noise immunity.
Essentially a single channel of the Mic Pre IV, the Mic Pre One features switchable phase, 20dB mic input pad and +48V phantom power, plus a selectable 1/4-inch line/hi-z instrument input, all utilizing relays with gold bi-furcated contacts. Two large knurled aluminum knobs control the variable high-pass filter (0-200Hz) and continuously variable input gain, which is complemented by a full-width, twenty-segment bi-color LED meter. The rear of the unit offers a Jensen transformer-isolated mic input and fully-balanced XLR output, plus a 1/4-inch line output. A fourth connector introduces DC power from the external power supply to the unit.

Sonoris Audio Engineering has just released Sonoris Meter v2.0. With this plugin, you can accurately measure peak and loudness levels of audio signals, at one scale. Besides a regular meter scale the Sonoris Meter supports the K-System, from Bob Katz, mastering engineer and founder of Digido masteringstudio. During the development period of this plugin Bob Katz was very helpful in providing information. The end product closely follows the K-system specifications, including Leq(A) loudness metering and bandlimited pink noise monitor calibration.

Percussa has released Progressions, a new sound pack for Ableton Live 7 and the AudioCubes. The pack contains an exhaustive collection of progressive house loops, breaks and samples, over 120Mb of content, light pattern preset clips and FX racks.
Progressions has been designed to give the AudioCubes enthusiast some authentic content and some awesome control patches designed specifically to work within Ableton Live.
The included audio loops are in WAV file format, which means the sounds work with most audio software, such as Apple's Logic, Steinberg's Cubase, Sony's ACID Pro, etc.
