Computer Hardware : New Vista drivers for PreSonus AudioBox - pcmusicPreSonus has released new software drivers for its AudioBox USB 2x2 audio interface. The new drivers are designed to improve performance stability with the Windows Vista operating system and can be downloaded for free at the Presonus website.

Rumor : Kurzweil PC361 ? - pcmusicWell 2009 Winter NAMM is coming so it's time for some rumors... Here's the first one : Kurzweil is about to unveil a 61-keyboard version of the Kurzweil PC3. According to a Kurzweil rep, the PC361 would arrive in coming january.

Channel Surround

Channel G Surround is a Compressor/Limiter optimized for 5.1 channels using 4 compressors sets – LR, C, LsRs, and LFE. These compressor sets can key from any combination of the LR, C, LsRs, and LFE channels. Individual compressor controls can be linked across various surround channels, and the LFE channel includes an optional low pass filter.

Channel G Surround seamlessly integrates with the Digidesign D-Control and D-Command control surfaces.

Shipping in Spring 2009, Channel G Surround will be available for $495. Channel G Surround will not be included in the Emerald Pack bundle. Emerald Pack HD 4.0 customers will be eligible to purchase Channel G Surround for $295. Channel G Surround supports TDM, RTAS and Audiosuite, and will be sold only as an electronic purchase.

Channel G Compact

Channel G Compact delivers the same sonic experience as Channel G with a smaller DSP footprint. It features calibration modes for music, post production, and models of the world's
most popular analog mixing desks. The user interface seamlessly integrates with the Digidesign D-Control and D-Command control surfaces, as well as the Venue D-Show and Profile live sound consoles.

Shipping in Spring 2009, Channel G Compact HD will be available individually and as an upgrade to Emerald Pack 4.0. Channel G Compact HD will be available for $495, and Channel G Compact Native will be available for $295. Existing Emerald Pack 3.0 customers can upgrade to Emerald Pack 4.0, which adds Channel G Compact, for $195 for HD customers and $95 for Native customers. Channel G Compact supports TDM, RTAS and Audiosuite, and will be sold only as an electronic purchase.
