Music Hardware : Alesis Trigger I/O - pcmusicAlesis announced today that they are now shipping the Trigger I/O, USB/MIDI, pad trigger interface. The Trigger I/O uses electronic triggers placed on traditional acoustic percussion sources (such as drum heads or cymbals) or electronic drum pad triggers, and converts them into MIDI note messages. With MIDI and USB 1.1 Plug and Play connectivity and ten inputs, an artist can expand performance options exponentially – playing sounds on synthesizers, drum modules, or even a computer.

As a stand-alone format converter and patchbay, Digital Konnekt x32 includes 8 channels of AES/EBU, 8 channels of S/PDIF and TOS, 8 channels of ADAT (up to 96 kHz SMUX) and Word Clock I/O. Any input format can be converted into either of the other formats and aligned to any sample rate ranging from 44.1 to 192 kHz. - Mock Bass DI : features the DI sound only, recorded Apogee converters and Millennia TD-1 direct to digital at 96 Khz, released at 44.1 This set weighs about 335 MB and requires just 38 MB of preload in Kontakt 2.2.

- Mock Bass Production Pack : features the DI sound altogether with a Rock and a Round sounds (different sample packs).

Mock Bass Rock is reamped using an Ampeg rig with a Neumann mic to a Focusrite pre and into an Apogee converter at 96 Khz while Mock Bass Round is reamped using a Mark Bass rig with an AKG mic fed into a Focusrite pre and an Apogee converter at 96 KHz.

- The levels of the spectrum display are now scalable in steps of 10 dB with the Plus/Minus buttons on the right.
