i have an original mbox with the focusrite preamps. it has 2 inputs for stereo or mono, a spdif in and out. its adc is 24 bit up to 48khz. pre input monitoring for no latency monitoring while recording. analog level knobs for input gain. this unit is better than the mbox2 in my opinion. the recordings are clean and strong. i am the original owner and it is in mint conditon. the only reason i am selling it is because the driver for the mac is a little flakey. i had to reboot the core audio after launching my daw every time. the new mbox may have more inputs, 4, but the preamps are not as good as the ones in the original.
